Leonard "Red" Brown, 81, of Cottageville, WV, passed away September 20, 2022, in Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division after an extended illness.

He was born May 15, 1941, in Statts Mills, WV, a son of the late Ernest B. and Virgie (Moore) Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and Jack Brown.

He was a United States Army veteran and a former member of the V.F.W. He was retired from Pechiney Rolled Products with 28 years of service as a mechanic. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union Local # 5668, Ravenswood. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the mountains and watching boxing.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Molly Gustava (Dial) Brown; son, Leonard Ray (Heather) Brown of Southern Shores, N.C.; daughter, Lisa Dawn (Shannon Sayre) Brown of Millwood, WV; grandchildren, Brooke Brown and Noah Miller; great-grandchildren, Raelynn Jade Plants.
