Lois Ann (Withrow)  Hicks, 78,  of Kenna, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday March 28, 2024, in Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV, following an extended illness.

She was born March 6, 1946, in Charleston, WV,  a daughter of the late Lowell Withrow and Elizabeth (Toothman) Withrow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Lois was a Christian who loved the Lord. She was a member of Walker Chapel Church. She enjoyed crafting, cooking, shopping, working in her flowers, and spending time with her family. Lois loved gospel and Elvis Presley music.

Left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 25 years, Johnny Hicks; children, Jeff Burdette (Jeannie) of Rand, WV, Timmy Burdette of Kenna, WV, Missy Bailey (Shawn) of Kenna, WV; step-daughter, Melissa Hicks Cobb of Sissonville, WV; sister, Jean Evans (Dave) of Charleston, WV, Sue Tate (Johnny) of Charleston, WV,  Kay Bostic of Sissonville, WV, Carla Hanson (Kelly) of Charleston, WV; brother Jimmy Withrow of Sissonville, WV; grandchildren, Jimmy and Jonathan Burdette, J.D. Edens, Cody and Cory Bailey; step-grandson Nick Cobb; great grandchildren, Eve, Malcom, Eria, Bristol, Rayne, Joni and several nieces and nephews.

She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV with Pastor Gordon Killian officiating. Burial will follow in John Beane Cemetery, Sissonville, WV. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
