Lura Jane "Bunny" Keeney , 81, of Evans, WV, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, and is now running laps around the throne room of God.

She was born October 23, 1940, in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late Billy Burford and Leona (Matheny) Frain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Donald Keeney; sister, Carrol (Sue) Mormon, and great grandson, Ethan Wayne Donohew.

Bunny was a caretaker, a homemaker and a member of Faith Assembly of God in Ripley, WV. She never met a stranger and would give the shirt off her back to help anyone, anytime. Bunny was a prayer warrior and would stop at moment's notice to pray for/with those she loved. She was an outstanding mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include son, Gary (Teresa) Medley of Tornado, WV; daughter, Teri (John) Yurkovich of Evans; step children, Bruce (Donna) Keeney of Evans, Janie (Chuck) Kilburn of Pawleys Island, SC, Darby (Don) Wathne of Charleston, SC, Brenda Scott of Chillicothe, OH; grandchildren, Wesley Medley, Chad (Andrea) Donohew, Jared Donohew, Ashli (Chris) Starcher, Brucie (Lindsey) Keeney, Michelle (Eric) Hackney, Christina Fox, Sherry Marlowe; 14 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be 7 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2022, at the Faith Assembly of God 2866 Ripley Rd. Ripley, WV 25271 with Pastor Adam Nester officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 6 p.m. until time of service on Friday, at the church. A dinner will be held immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Faith Assembly of God.
