Margaret Pauline Akers , 94, of Ripley, WV passed away February 4, 2022 at the Ravenswood Village.

She was born February 24, 1927 in New Brighton, PA the daughter of the late Claude Rally and Ethel Mae (Rice) Puckett. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Ervin Akers, Sr.; son, David Carper and great grandson, Wyatt.

She was a former waitress for the Daniel Boone and Village Restaurants in Ripley and was the head of the housewares department at Heck's Department Store. She was active with the Senior Citizens, a member of the Order of Eastern Star and member of the Ripley Baptist Temple.

Survivors include her children, Edward Akers (Cathy), Marshall E. Akers, Jr. (Lisa) and Diana Easter (Robbie); stepdaughter, Marsha Ann Mohr; grandchildren, Daniel Lee Easter, Jennifer Kay Easter, Michael Akers, Carlita Barr, Byron Thomas and Beth; great grandchildren, Jaelynn Akers, Jonah Akers, Leah Barr and Nathan Barr.

Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Entombment will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Cottageville. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
