M. Lynn Lassiter, 72 , of Ravenswood, formerly of Spencer, WV, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, in Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, OH, following an extended illness.

She was born May 24, 1950 in Portsmouth, VA a daughter of the late William Crawford Lassiter Jr. and Margaret Ellen (Coffield) Wing of Spencer, WV. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Leigh Williamson.

Lynn graduated from Old Dominion University with a master's degree in chemistry, biology, and physics. She was a former teacher, master gardener, and a member of the Gardening Club, and enjoyed knitting, sewing needlepoint, and crafts.

In addition to her mother, survivors include her sons, Jeffrey W. Lassiter of Ravenswood, Lawrence Lassiter of Mesa, AZ; daughter Kara Lynn Monette of Pt. Pleasant; sister Carolyn B. Clifford of Long Island, NY; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

There will be no public services at this time.
