Marie Pauline (Payne) Cobb, 88, of St. Albans, WV, formerly of Jackson County, passed away November 29, 2023, at home, following a brief illness.

She was born July 15, 1935, in Advent, WV, a daughter of the late Harold Payne and Nancy (Davis) Long. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Cobb; daughters, Barbara Williams, Debra Ramsey and several brothers and sisters.

Marie was a homemaker and was Christian by faith. She enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, and traveling, especially to Alabama.

Survivors include her children, Herbert Cobb of St. Albans, Lisa Bragg of Ravenswood, Sandra Cobb of St. Albans, Lois Province of Dunbar, WV; sister, Pat Hershman of Gandeeville, WV, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Honoring Maries wishes, there will be no public services. Burial will take place at White Oak Cemetery.
