Mark Madison Kay, 57, of Ripley, WV, passed away September 17, 2021 in Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division following a brief illness.

He was born January 22, 1964 in Ripley, WV, a son of the late Virginia E. (Landis) Kay and Clifford Richard Kay of Ripley. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffery Kay.

He was a graduate of Ripley High School. He was a logger for 33 years. Mark enjoyed hunting, especially bear hunting with his hounds, fishing, farming and the outdoors.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years Cathy Marie (Cresham) Kay; daughters, Jessica (P.J.) Pendley of Murraysville and Samantha (Dakota) Wills of Ripley; granddaughters, Madison Wills, Macie Wills, Paisley Pendley, Josie Pendley and Tilly Pendley; brother, Matt Kay; sisters, Linda and David Anderson, Brenda and John Godfrey, Andrea and Scott Thompson and Jennifer Kay all of Ripley; 12 nieces and great-nieces and 10 nephews and great nephews.

Graveside service and burial were held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 in the Kay Family Cemetery.
