Mary Francis (Mahan) Allen, 79, of Cottageville, WV, passed away October 13, 2023, at her home following an extended illness.

She was born January 12, 1944, a daughter of the John Edgar and Francis Marie (Workman) Mahan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Violet Pence.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed auctions, shopping, NASCAR and spending time with her family. Mary also enjoyed listening to trains and Whippoorwills. She was a Christian by faith.

Survivors include her sons, Billy Lee Allen and Texal E. Ramsey of Cottageville, Robert Craig Allen (Missy) of Shepherdsville, KY, and Glendon Kaye Allen (Lyndi) of Statts Mills; daughters, Beverly M. Ramsey (Henry) of Leon, WV, Kitty E. Ramsey (Randy)  of Racine, OH and Lisa D. Pullins (Bub) of Point Pleasant; brother, Curtis (Barb) Mahan of (Flatwoods Community) Ravenswood; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Service will be 1 p.m. ~ Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Pastor Bradley Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow in Flatwoods Community Cemetery, Ravenswood, WV. Visitation will be two hours prior to service at the funeral home.
