Michael Patrick O'Neil, 70, of Cottageville, WV, passed away June 26, 2023, in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, WV, following a sudden illness.

He was born May 25, 1953 in Columbus, OH a son of the late William "Red" and Flossie (Tippee) O'Neil. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Johnny O'Neil; twin grandchildren, Kloey and Dalton; special friend, Andrew Everett.

Mike was a great husband to his wife of 30 years Traci Lynn (Mearns) O'Neil and a better dad to his children and the most awesome Papa there could ever be. Mike loved the outdoors where you could find him 99.9% of the time. He was a jack of all trades and master of none and was always there to lend a helping hand to his loved ones. He married his soul mate on January 12, 1993 in Athens, OH. Mike truly lived life to the fullest through his family.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his mother in law, Dee (Eber) Pickens; sisters, Teresa (Ryan) Harris, Helen (Scott) Carr, Peggy Hatzer; brothers, Pat (Beth) O'Neil; children, Robby (Kylie) O'Neil, Cody (Tiffany) O'Neil, Zack O'Neil, Mallory (Phil) Johnson, Judi (Nobie) O'Neil, Ryan O'Neil and Michael P. (Brandy) O'Neil II; several nieces and nephews.

The light of his life were his grandchildren, Kilah, Makenah, Kamora, Mason, Milly Faye, Karter, Eli, Mayah, Quentin, Quency, Caden, Isaiah and bonus grandchild Hayden.

Service will be 7 p.m. ~ Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Pastor David Johnston officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
