Redith May (Hackney) Rucker, 77, of Evans, WV, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, following a brief illness.
She was born July 10, 1946, in Roane County, WV, a son of the late Oscar Hackney and Annie L. (Moore) Parsons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clair W. Rucker; sisters, Imogene Garnes, Madeline Garnes, Lucille Mullinex and one granddaughter, Stacy Rucker-Kirk.
Redith was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family.
Survivors include her sons, Dell Rucker of Evans, William Rucker and wife, Deb of Tornado, WV, brother, Pete of Georgia; sister, Willadean Rhodes of Ravenswood; granddaughter, Sarah N. Fisher; great grandchildren, Dillion Rucker, Sabrina Fisher, Zoey Fisher, and Angel Rucker.
There will be no public services at this time.
