Rex Redford Deal, 70, of Kenna, WV, passed away August 8, 2022 in Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division following an extended illness.

He was born November 17, 1951, a son of the late Emp Deal Jr. and Goldie (Pritt) Deal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Melody Deal; son, Bruce Deal; brother, Curtis Deal.

He was a United States Army Veteran and worked in maintenance for Truck Stop 77, Fairplain, WV, with several years of service. Rex was a Christian and enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his son, Jeremy D. "Jay" Wiseman and his wife Mary of Kenna; daughters, Crystal (B.J.) Frazier of Evans, Marilyn Deal and Alvie Collins of Kenna and Carolyn Myers and Matthew of Cottageville; brothers, Laymon (Linda) Deal of Chicago, IL, Joseph Deal of Charleston, WV; sisters, Susie Smith of Ripley and Rose (Jerry) Collins of South Charleston, WV; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. ~ August 12, 2022, at the Bruce Deal Cemetery, Kenna, WV, with Elmer Miller officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Jackson County Honor Guard.
