Rita L. (Sypolt) Snyder, 87, of Homer, MI, formerly of Ravenswood, WV, went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2023, following a short illness.

She was born November 14, 1935, a daughter of the late Francis and Elsie Sypolt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Richard E. Snyder, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Rita married her husband Richard in 1957 and together they had four sons. She was a bookkeeper for IGA Grocery Store, was a charter member of Independent United Brethren Church of Ravenswood, and was a current member of Five Corner Baptist Church in Indiana. Rita loved quilting and gifted many quilts to her family and friends. She enjoyed listening to southern gospel music, traveling around the country, cooking, and tending to her flower gardens.

Survivors include her sons, Richard Snyder, Mark (Sherry) Snyder, James (Denise) Snyder, and John (DeAnna) Snyder; grandchildren, Jennifer and Daniel Alderman, Michael and Amanda Snyder, Shae and Joel Maier, Andrew and Gabrielle Snyder, Jordan Snyder, and Samantha Snyder; 6 great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. ~ Friday, July 7, 2023 at Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood, WV, with Pastor Matt Matics officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Independent United Brethren Church at 1014 Washington Street Ravenswood, WV 26164.
