Robert Allen Boardman, 74, of Sandyville, WV, passed away March 7, 2026 at his home following an extended illness.

He was born January 12, 1952, a son of the late Leonard Allen and Mildred Irene (Tucker) Boardman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Russell Boardman; sister, Charlene Estep; grandchildren, Gracelyn Spencer and Ari Boardman.

He was a former meat cutter for 22 years before becoming an accountant with Cook Group in Lafayette, IN. He was a Baptist by faith and a wonderful, warm, caring and joke telling gentleman.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Barbara Ann (Brocious) Boardman; sons, Dustin Robert (Erika) Boardman of Wauconda, IL, Darrin Russell (Irene) Boardman of Danville, IN, James Martin (Brandi) Boardman of Rossville, IN, John Michael (Sabrina) Boardman of Lebanon, IN; adopted daughters, Alexis Estep of Clarksburg, WV, Katlyn Estep of Fairplain, WV, Emma Marie Garrett of Columbus, OH, Dezeray Boardman of Mount Alto, WV, Alexandria, Miley and Ava Boardman of Sandyville, WV; step-children, Patty (Christopher) Benson of Ravenswood, Daniel (Jennifer) Donohew of Leroy, WV and Casie Jo (Timothy) Comer of Sandyville, WV; 18 grandchildren.

Service will be 3 p.m. ~ Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Pastor Bob Keen officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
