Robert Leo Garnes, 74, of Evans, WV, passed away April 2, 2026 in Thomas Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV, following an extended illness.

He was born March 2, 1952 in Evans, WV, (Foster Ridge Community) a son of the late Burton Maywood and Imogene (Parsons) Garnes.

He was a retired carpenter, laborer and farmer. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, shooting pool, karaoke and was a good neighbor and friend.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Tammy Lynn (Linville) Garnes; son, Leo Garrett Garnes of Evans; daughter, Adrian Brooke Garnes and Chris of Evans; grandchildren, Colton, Delani and Miley; great-grandson, Dawson; brothers, Calvin Garnes, Marvin (Tina) Garnes and Ricky (Karen) Garnes all of Evans, Glendal (Kim) Garnes of Ripley.

Service will be 7 p.m. ~ Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Casto Funeral Home with Jim Casto officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until time-of-service Tuesday at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Foster Chapel Cemetery, Foster Ridge, Evans, WV.
