Robert Steven Smith, 55 , of Ripley, WV, passed away peacefully in his home, Friday, May 13, 2022.

He was born February 26, 1967, in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Verlie Frances (Smith) Payne.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Randall Smith, and Daniel Payne, companion, Regina Gibson.

Robert was a tree trimmer for Asplundh and was also a mechanic. He enjoyed tinkering and collecting things.

Survivors include his daughters, Laci Gordon, Heather (Scott) Lang, Samantha (Chad) Eades, Miranda Smith; sisters, Debra Miller, Christina (Stevie) Miller, Rebecca (Bryan) Braham, and Carolyn Wilkinson; grandchildren, Arianna, Sean, Destiny, Logan, Piper, Eli, and Amor.

Service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, WV, with Glenn Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
