Ronald Brooks Carpenter III , 48, of Ripley, WV, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022, at home, following a brief illness.

He was born July 22, 1974, in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Ronald Brooks Carpenter II and Lou Ann (Dangerfield) Thacker.

Ronald was a 1992 graduate of Ripley High School. He was most recently employed by the 7-UP Bottling Company as a Merchandiser and had worked as a Union Pipe Fitter for Local 625, Charleston, WV. Ronald was an avid WVU football sports fan and enjoyed coaching youth football in Ripley. He also held special interests in music, fishing, carpentry, and cooking his favorite meals, fish, steak, and quesadillas.

Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Sacha (Wildt) Carpenter; daughter, Emily Carpenter and her husband, Joshua of Evans; son, Zeke Carpenter of Ripley; brother, Benjamin Carpenter and his wife, Tara of Evans; sister, Amanda Givens of Roanoke, VA; step-parents, Rick Thacker and Diana Carpenter; granddaughter, Lielah Casto; nieces and nephews, Jack, Vinny, Sully, and Dakota.

Friends may visit with the family from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV. A celebration of Ronald's life will be held in the spring. Time and date will be announced when available.
