Russell Dealton Brown, 76, of Cottageville, WV, passed away at Hubbard Hospice House, South Charleston, WV, after an extended illness.

He was born November 2, 1945, in Hogsett, WV, a son of the late Dealton Thomas and Elsie (Swartz) Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Scott Brown; daughter, Debbie Brown; brothers, Donald Curtis and Worthy Mitchell.

He was a former Emergency Medical Technician for Jackson County E.M.S. He was a former electrician, mechanic and air conditioning and refrigeration technician. He was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church, Ripley, WV. He was an avid Star Trek fan.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Betty Lou (Myers) Brown; son, Christopher Thomas (Eunsook) Brown of Flovilla, GA; daughter, Linda (Michael) Stover of Point Pleasant; brother, Carlton Brown of Hyde Park, UT; sister, Deanna Brown of Arizona; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Service will be 7 p.m. ~ Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Rev. Ford Price officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
