Sandra Kay (Winter) Kessel, of Cottageville, WV, passed away April 5, 2026, at her home, following an extended illness.

She was born December 26, 1955 in Ravenswood, WV, a daughter of the late Charles O. and Betty Lou (Miller) Winter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Kessel; brother, Jeff Winter; aunt, Bernice Winter; uncle, Harold 'Junior' Miller.

Sandy was a Christian by faith and a caregiver at Eldercare in Ripley, WV for many years. She enjoyed playing video games, reading, dogs, riding horses, and had a wide range of knowledge because of her love of learning.

Survivors include her son, Brian Lee Kessel and brother, Charles 'Chuck' Winter.

There will be no public service at this time.
