Sarah Francis (Taylor) Stone, 79, of Leon, WV, passed away March 9, 2026 in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, OH, following an extended illness.

She was born May 2, 1946, in Letart-Falls, OH, a daughter of the late Leo A. Taylor and Hazel B. (Sayre) Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, L. Dick, Robert and David Taylor; sister, Nadine Findley.

She was retired from Roxane Laboratories, Columbus, OH with 17 years of service. She was a Baptist by faith and enjoyed sewing, quilting and going with her husband to the tractor pulls.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Elmer E. Stone; sons, Timothy E. Stone of Columbus, OH and Jeremy C. Stone and his wife Carol of Smyrna, TN; daughters, Melissa J. Bowles and her husband Daniel of Albany, OH and Darcy L. Hopkins and her husband Tracy of Groveport, OH; sisters, Pauline Moore of Columbus, OH and Sandra Pooler of Mt. Juliet, TN; grandchildren, Cole Stone, Sarah Scout (Nathaniel) Watson, Victoria (Zach) Brashears, Samuel Jones and Ava Stone; great-grandchildren, Beau, Bella, Wade and Wrenna.

Service will be 12 o'clock noon ~ March 13, 2026 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV. Burial will follow in Letart-Falls Cemetery, Letart-Falls Ohio, with Pastor Allen Stewart officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time-of-service Friday at the funeral home.
