Sharon Louise (Spaulding) Gibson, 68, of Gay, WV, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at home, with family by her side.

She was born March 30, 1956, in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late George Adam and Violet Louise (Cottrill) Spaulding. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman C. Gibson; son, Joshua Gibson; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Sharon had worked at Walmart in Ripley, WV, with 12 years of service and was a caregiver. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings, cooking, and sewing.

Survivors include her children, Christopher Spaulding of Gay, Sara Fields and husband, Jamie of Gay, Jennifer Westfall and husband, James of Belle Vernon, PA, Johnna Dyke and husband, Darrell of Charleston, SC, Trina Gibson of Lorraine, OH; brother, Tommy Spaulding and wife, Anita of Cabin Creek, WV; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV. Burial will follow in the Parsons Cemetery, Gay, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 12 p.m. until time of the service on Saturday, at the funeral home.
