Shirley Anne (Drake) Shamblin, 83, of Vienna, WV, passed away April 9, 2026 in West Virginia University Hospital (J.W. Ruby Mem.) Morgantown, WV, following an extended illness.

She was born April 22, 1942 in Clio, Roane County, WV, a daughter of the late Orvil R. and Mamie (Gandee) Drake. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David L. Shamblin; son, Randy Lee Shamblin; brothers, Billy Drake and Kenneth Gandee; niece, Judy Randolph.

She was a seamstress for Kellwood Company in Spencer, WV with 20 years of service. She was a retired bank teller for City National Bank, Ripley, WV and Wesbanco of Mineral Wells, WV. She attended Union Valley Baptist Church, Parkersburg, WV. Shirley enjoyed cooking, country music, and was a member of the Moose in Sebring, FL. She very much enjoyed organizing her musical events and dining concerts while in Florida.

Survivors include her son Douglas (Sherry) Shamblin of Pomeroy, OH; sister-in-laws, Lucy Mae Newhouse and Michelle Montgomery; nieces Jean (Greg) Bower and their son Marcus and Patricia and her husband John Hudson; special friends, Mike and Cheryl Montgomery.

Service will be 2 p.m. ~ April 13, 2026 at Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, WV, with Pastor Jonathan Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
