Thomas Alva Anderson 61, of Gay, WV, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024, in Hospice at CAMC Memorial, Charleston, WV.

He was born February 4, 1963, in Akron, OH, a son of the late Alvie and Margaret (Oblisk) Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Jeanie (Ray) Anderson and son, Benjamin Anderson.

Thomas was a 1981 graduate of Ripley High School. Following high school, he joined the FFA and earned his farmers degree. Thomas worked as a truck driver and operated Andersons Farm for over 20 years. He loved country music and played guitar, bass, and sang with the family group called Alvie Anderson Silver Notes. Thomas enjoyed cattle farming, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Josh Anderson and wife, Bethany of Culloden, WV, Auvielle Hill and husband, Scott of Gay, WV; sisters, Connie Crede and husband, Bill of Elkview, WV, Cathy Fields and husband, Dwayne of Gay, WV; grandchildren, Choloe, Jaxton, Liam, Lexi, Bentley, and Isabelle.

A private graveside service will be held on the family farm where he will be laid to rest.
