Thomas Richard Bailey, 80, of Evans, WV, passed away June 2, 2025, in St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV, following an extended illness.

He was born January 2, 1945, in Van, WV, a son of the late Luther and Emogene (Halstead) Bailey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Bailey.

He was a graduate of Ripley High School. He was a Vietnam Air Force veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #107 Ripley, WV. He was retired from mining equipment sales. Tom attended the Evergreen Hills Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed writing, genealogy and reading.

Survivors include his sons, David Edward Bailey and his wife Heather of Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany and Jeffrey Brian Bailey and his wife Andrea of Ocala, FL; daughter, Stephanie (Bailey) Ostdahl of Clemmons, N.C.; seven grandchildren.

Graveside military service will be 11 a.m. ~ Thursday, June 5, 2025 in the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar, WV with his nephew, Pastor Mark Price officiating. Arrangements provided by Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV.
