Viola "Ann" Woofter, passed away January 6, 2022. Born on January 2, to Cleon and Audra Holstein Woofter in Ashford, Boone County, West Virginia, Ann graduated from Sherman High School, Seth, WV and Morris Harvey College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Charleston, WV.

Ann taught Biology at Sherman High School for five years, while transitioning into a career as a well known and loved Court Reporter in Charleston, West Virginia, and later, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Viola Ann Woofter is predeceased by her parents, Cleon and Audra Woofter, sister, Carolyn Jane Woofter Dye, and nephew, Philip Dye. She was also predeceased by her beloved pets:  A parrot, Wally, and her cat, Stubby, as well as, many other pets.

Ann is survived by her nieces Diane Dye of El Paso, TX and Jeanne Dye-Porto, Alaska (Michael). She is also survived by four Super Special Nashville friends who were by her side daily: Shirley Corry, Patrice Robinson, Judge Cheryl Blackburn, Charmaine McVey.

Ann was an avid Animal Enthusiast and loved her birds, Homer, Gabby, Katy, and Jake, and kitties Zoe, Zak, White Girl, Black Girl.  In lieu of flowers, we suggest donations to your local animal shelter, humane society or your own preferred charity.

A graveside service will be~ 1 p.m., Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood, WV.
