Virginia Hope Young, 97, of Durbin, WV passed away August 19, 2024 in Clendenin, WV.

She was born December 16, 1926 in Beckley, WV and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Gertrude Hope.

Virginia was a homemaker and had owned Young's Diner in Clendenin, WV. She was a dedicated Christian, loved going to church at Markley Chapel in Huttonsville, WV, gardening, cooking and quilting. Virginia was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Left behind to cherish her memory, are her children, Billy Young (Laura) of Durbin, Pamela Roush (Jack) of Clendenin, Sharon Bauerle (Dan) of Sissonville, WV, Tyronna McKinstry and Gloria "Jeanie" Barber both of Ripley, WV, Patricia Jones of Big Chimney, WV and Saundra Meades of Ripley; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Young; and three children, Barbara Cantrell, Kathy Saunders and Thomas Young.

Services will be 12:00 PM ~ Saturday, August, 24, 2024 at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home ~ 206 Beauty St. Spencer, WV 25276 with Pastor Billy Young officiating. Burial to follow at Clover Ridge Cemetery in Roane County, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
