William Robert Rhodes, 95, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away February 5, 2022, at his home following a sudden illness.

He was born July 19, 1926, in Ripley, WV, a son of the late Elmer and Vada (Conley) Rhodes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ilene Rhodes, sister, Juanita Langford.

He was a United States Navy veteran serving in World War II and a member of the V.F.W. Post #5501 Ripley. He was a retired truck driver for Consolidated and a member of the Teamsters Union Local # 175 Charleston, WV. He was a member and Past Master of the Cottageville Lodge #54 AF & AM. He was a member of the Nemesis Shrine Temple in Parkersburg and was a member of the North United Methodist Church in Ravenswood. He was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #15 Ravenswood, WV.

Survivors include his son, Robert Mickey (Marsha) Rhodes of Ravenswood; granddaughter, Toni Rhodes, two great-grandchildren and three great- great grandchildren; nephew, Larry Langford of Evans.

Service will be 1 p.m. ~ Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, WV, with Rev. Tom Nolan officiating. Burial with Masonic graveside rites will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 o'clock noon until time-of-service Thursday at the funeral home.
