William Leeroy "Yogi" Smith, 52, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away, Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, WV, following a brief illness.

He was born March 11, 1968, in Pt. Pleasant WV, a son of Lottie (Kidwell) and the late Robert Lawson. In addition to his father, his brother Richard Smith Jr., preceded him in death.

Yogi had worked in the maintenance department at Forked Run State Park with several years of service and attended Mt. Olive Community Church in Long Bottom, OH. He was an avid outdoorsman, a handyman, and enjoyed cutting grass, and gardening flowers for his wife whom he loved and cherished. He also enjoyed spending time with friends around campfires.

Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Cathi (Britton) Smith; son, Shawn Michael Smith of Reedsville, OH; stepson Christopher (Jennifer) Snell of Belleville, WV; sisters, Sally Daily of Nelsonville and Cindy Smith of Reedsville, OH; and two grandchildren, Olivia and Levi Snell.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday March 6, 2021 at Wilding Cemetery, Ravenswood, WV, with the Reverend Herman Robinson officiating.
